    Urethral Cancer: Symptoms

What are the symptoms of urethral cancer?

Urethral cancer often does not cause symptoms when the cancer is small (early stage). As the tumor grows, it may cause symptoms such as:

    • Blood in your pee

    • Fluid or blood leaking from the urethra

    • Peeing often or feeling a frequent urge to pee without passing much pee

    • Pain while peeing

    • Low flow or dribbling while peeing

    • Unable to hold in pee (urinary incontinence)

    • Enlarged lymph nodes in the groin area

    • Lump or growth in the penis

    • Lump or growth in the area between your genitals and anus (perineum)

When to see your healthcare provider

Many of these symptoms may be caused by other health problems. But it is important to see your healthcare provider if you have any of these symptoms. Only a healthcare provider can tell if you have cancer.
